MyStik Customizable Adhesive Tool, Product Overview
I have been scrapbooking and papercrafting for over a decade and I have used a lot of tape runners, a major staple in a scrapbooker’s life. There are some tape runners I have used that are no longer in existence and I do not miss them. The MyStik Adhesive Tool is by far my absolute favorite and I don’t see it going away anytime soon. It is easy to use, easy to load, and extremely reasonable in price. The fact that it is customizable is just an added bonus.
Ease of Use
The MyStik has an adjustable grip so that you can position it to suit you. You don’t have to apply a lot of pressure to apply the adhesive to your project. You don’t have to deal with clumping and stickiness. Furthermore you don’t have to worry about the tape snapping causing you to lose the use of the remaining product and therefore losing money. The tape runner I used before I found MyStik would clump, jam and snap and then you could not rethread it so you were just out of your money (to the tune of about $10-$12 per refill). MyStik glides on easily from beginning to end.
Easy to Load
Okay, in the past I have used some tape runners that required a diagram just to show you how to load the thing and it still was never quite right. With the MyStik tool you just snap the refill in place with no hassle at all. No instructions needed. Also, even though you may purchase a permanent or repositionable dispenser you can mix and match refill types. They all load exactly the same way. No additional dispensers needed.
Reasonable Pricing
This is another “pro” for MyStik. The dispenser is under $8 and the refills are less than $5. The best value is the 3-pack value pack.
Cons
The only thing I noticed (at the time of this post) is that the vellum tape runner is slightly visible under the vellum but MyStik is better than most at being translucent. In my opinion the slight visibility is not even a big deal. There is not another tape runner out there I need.
Bonus
MyStik comes with a plastic guide to help you customize your tape runner. I know scrapbookers/crafters enjoy personalizing so this is a great feature.
Conclusion
The MyStik Customizable Adhesive Tool is completely easy to use and load at a fraction of the cost of other adhesive tools. Try it. You will love it.

Thank you for bookmarking my site. I am glad you found the content useful.
Very interesting content.
Thanks. 🙂
That’s a great deal so far as the one time purchase of the dispenser and then only costing $5 to refill from then on so I’ll be going to Amazon and giving this a try for sure!
I’m glad I’ve found your site as well Lacy as one of my nephews loves making scrapbooks of all kinds so I’ll be able to send him to a great source to help him from now on!
Thanks a lot, Stephen
You are very welcome Stephen. It is the best value I have found so far. Having used adhesive tools that were ridiculously difficult to load and others that would get gummy and then break (which was a waste of money, not to mention annoying), I really appreciate a simple, easy to load tool that is reasonably priced. Good luck to you and your nephew. Please stop back by and show me some albums you guys have worked on.
If I were into scrapbooking (which I probably should be since I have small children) I’m sure that the MyStik Adhesive would be my #1 tool. It definitely looks functional. Might have to get started!
You definitely should consider it. Children just grow so fast. Before you know it you have tons of pictures over the years. If you do start scrapbooking, this really is the best adhesive tool I’ve found so far. I have used so many in that past that were difficult to load, or large and bulky, or other adhesive tools that got kind of gummy as you used them, making it a hassle to use instead of a fun experience.
Do you have any images? I’d like to take a look, thanks.
Absolutely. Thanks for stopping by.
