I created this shadow box scrapbook layout for my mom’s picture a while back. I knew I wanted a similar one for my husband’s mom. We both lost our moms prior to getting married and I wanted something special to complement the scrapbook layout I had already created for my mom’s picture.
When I saw the first sketch for Let’s Scrap Sketches for this month, I knew the left side would be perfect for the second shadow box.

I decided to flip the sketch so that the photo would be on the left. I don’t have the photo selected yet, but I love how the layout turned out. Since I was hoarding so much of the paper line, I still had what I needed to make the two shadow boxes complement each other. I cannot wait to put these on my wall once I have the photo I need.

I hope you enjoy how it turned out as much as I do. As always, I’d love to see what you create with the sketch.
