3 Scrapbook Supplies I Never Buy at Full Price
Earlier in my scrapbooking career, I would see gorgeous new paper lines and lose my mind purchasing 2-3 sheets of each sheet within a line if the paper was double-sided. If there were tags, quotes or sayings on one side I definitely had to get multiples so that I had “enough” to use the tags, journal cards, etc. and still be able to use the pattern on the back. As you can imagine this was quite expensive.
Fast forward to today. I have a lot of “retired” paper lines, untouched. I have more flowers and embellishments than a small craft store. Between your scrapbook stash and those of your closest friends and scrapbook pals, could you open a small craft store? 🙂 Now there are 3 scrapbook supplies I never buy at full price. Your Favorite Scrapbook Expert is Coming and Their Class Costs What??
So you were just notified that your favorite scrapbook expert is coming and their class costs what?? Have you noticed that the cost to attend workshops taught by some industry leaders is ever increasing. I have never been one to be star struck or awestruck over anyone, however there are certain scrapbook experts that have techniques and styles I enjoy. The inclination to register for the class would have to be within reason regardless. I know the “within reason” is different for everyone.
Whatever the cost for the workshop or class, there are some things to consider. Like, what is the class really worth? I have to ask myself, am I paying $$ or $$$ because of the expert teaching the class or does the project really interest me?
Top reasons for signing up for a class:

New Flip and Fold Scrapbook Mini
Not exactly a brand new flip and fold scrapbook mini from a design standpoint, but new in the sense that I made another one with a completely different color scheme/paper line. Many of the inserts and pages are decorated differently as well. I used different edge punches to give this one a new look.
This is the same mini album that was featured in Scor-Pal’s July 2017 Newsletter.

A Day at the Zoo
I immediately thought of this layout when I found the moodboard challenge on Off The Rails.
I love adding a pop of color to a black and white layout. I couldn’t resist the animal print button to play off of the title. I enjoyed remembering this fun day at the zoo!

Dr. Oz 21-Day Weight Loss Breakthrough (my experience)
I absolutely love fried rice, especially shrimp fried rice or chicken fried rice. My mom gave me a wonderful recipe for chicken fried rice that I have made more times than I can remember so when I decided to try the Dr. Oz 21-Day Weight Loss Breakthrough I knew I needed to cut back on white rice, pasta, potatoes and other starchy vegetables. If you are anything like me, in order to be successful at weight loss and overall healthy living, it must be a lifestyle change and not just a fad diet. So I have made the decision to replace some of the animal protein with plant-based protein, limit my carbohydrate intake, and add more fish to my diet. How do you wake up to your life everyday?
In the more recent past, I was not being consistent and intentional about my usual morning routine. This is another reason I am so excited about being a part of Chrystal Evans Hurst’s She’s Still There Rescue Team. It has caused me to get back to starting my day in God’s Word daily and staying more connected throughout the day. Continue reading “How do you wake up to your life everyday?”
