Personalize a frame with a first or last name or a word

When you think of personalized or homemade gifts it doesn’t have to mean the gift looks homemade. Also, you don’t have to pay someone else to make it, and wait weeks for it to arrive because it is a custom gift. You can customize this beautiful gift over and over. Different letters, custom colors, the background and framing of the letters is up to you. Just purchase a beautiful frame and customize the rest.

A good friend of mine who obviously has a great eye for “letters found in nature” made a beautiful gift for me that was my last name and one of my wedding photos.  Knowing how much I enjoy this personal gift, I decided to bless a friend with one.

How to Take Your Art into the Next Dimension with Cricut!

It started out as a doodle, something small, casually tossed in the margin of your grocery list. But somehow this graphic element took over and before you knew it, it became the decorative element to everything in your world. Unfortunately all those minute details that you added make it virtually impossible to transform it into the third dimension. Not true. If you can print it, you can cut it with the Cricut Explore machine.

Now with the newest feature of the Cricut Explore machine, you can choose your image (either your own or one of 50,000+ in the Cricut Design Lab), flatten the image and then click ‘Go’. Once printed, the Cricut Explore machine works its magic to bring your 2-dimensional idea into the 3rd dimension.

Take a look at this super short instructional video (less than 4 minutes) and see just how easy it can be…

Paper Scraps Use: Unique Mini Album

scrap paper use unique mini album I enjoy finding ways to use my scrapbook paper scraps and making this accordion mini album was no different.  Paper scraps use is always an awesome way to preserve your budget while transforming those pretty little scraps into something delightful. Lets face it, they are kind of hard to part with.

Since it is a good idea to cut your scraps down to manageable squares (6×6, 5×5, and so on), they are already a perfect size for use in mini albums, cards, tags, book markers, etc.  I especially love it when I can make an entire mini album.

Handmade Photo Album – Tutorial

Featured in Scor-Pal’s July Newsletter!

handmade photo album

This is a fun and simple handmade photo album that has lots of pockets and folds.  A while back someone gifted one like it to me because they knew I liked paper crafting and I loved it so much, I decided to make this one.  It was fun examining it to figure out the measurements and how the folds and pockets came together. I also enjoyed putting my own spin on it as we often do as paper crafters.

Here are the inside pages followed by an easy tutorial. Continue reading “Handmade Photo Album – Tutorial”
