This was such a fun sketch. Since I chose such a busy floral print for my main pattern, I decided to keep it simple with the rest of the layout and the embellishments. I also intended to do some stitching on this layout just to add some interest/depth but my quick stitch was not cooperating. Instead I decided to add a fun, messy hand-drawn detail around the pages. I like how it turned out.
In preparation for the layout, I was getting my pictures together here. I originally had another blue accent sheet selected because I thought it matched well with the blues in the photos. Ultimately this sheet was replaced with the blue paisley patterned sheet because I liked how it matched better with the floral sheet.
