Hello 2018 and Happy New Year to everyone. What a wonderful end to 2017.
The first Let’s Scrap Sketches Design Team reveal of 2018 inspired this Christmas layout that documents a perfect end to the year.
Looking back over 2017, so many changes occurred. We settled into our new home. I changed, not only jobs, but my entire career path. We found an awesome new church in our new city and a community we love. I became a guest design team member for Let’s Scrap Sketches. Fun times. 🙂
This sketch allowed me to capture a few of the memories from this holiday season. We were able to decorate for Christmas this year because we were not in transition with the move. We found such a pretty and full real tree quite by accident. In fact, we were headed to Home Depot to look at fake trees, when we spotted our tree as we were driving by. 🙂
We ended this year, full of exciting transitions, with an amazing Christmas Eve celebration. The top middle and right photos show the blessed night we had.
The photo of the real deer, my husband snapped in our community one morning. We see a lot of bucks but this one was especially large. What a great shot. He seemed to be posing for his picture.
With the other photos, including me as the “tree-hugger”, I decided to just keep the layout simple with a few sequins sprinkled here and there to add some festive flair. I hope you enjoy the sketch and layout and check out the other layouts from the design team and play along.
Cheers to a fabulous 2018. I am looking forward to great things.
