I decided to play around with my Cinch binding tool today. As you can see, I have the Cinch that produces round holes but it is available with square holes as well.  Here are two handmade photo albums.

The purple, pink, and green themed album has been bound with the black, 1″ wire rings. I included a ribbon closure. Here are a few more shots of the album before I bound it.  There are very girly pinks, purples and greens and simple layouts with clear photo mats. If you are giving something like this as a gift, the recipient just has to add photos.

The second album would make a great baby girl photo album.  I decided to add the binding only to the middle of the page and went with the Cinch white spiral wires.

Above is the front and back view once the book was bound. Below are a few of the inside pages.

These are select pictures of the scrapbook layouts before I bound the book. There are actually ten layouts in each book. I kept each layout simple so that the pictures would be the star and just added a few simple embellishments.

If you have an occasion like a baby shower, toddler birthday or need a quick mini photo album, you can “scraplift” the simple layouts using whatever paper you choose. In fact, I’d love to see your scraplift creations with some of the simple designs.

Thanks for looking!

  1. Hey Lacy,

I saw this one and something caught my eye on the photo album; it was the cinch binding. I was wondering what kind of cinch you use for this and if there is a brand you would recommend? I would love to have one not only for these types of projects but also for binding my own school projects in the future.

    Thanks Lacy 🙂

    1. Scott, I used the We R Memory Keepers Cinch V2 and I love this binding tool. It is so easy to use and although it comes with a guide, it has instructions printed right on the base. I certainly recommend this one. It is available with square holes as well. Lacy 🙂
